The Sooner Racing Team’s 2012 entry, affectionately named Emily, employs an Aprilia 5.5 RXV engine and is the expansion of an innovative design concept focused around effective tire management. For the endurance event, real-time control of servo-actuated aerodynamic elements manages tire normal load.

The team focused on mass properties, reliability, and ease of service during the design of the 2012 car. Critical vehicle performance parameters are selected using an analytical, simulation-based approach with emphasis placed on physical validation.
